Celebrating Judaism

Yes, “celebrating!” Not “perpetuating,” “preserving,” or “meeting our obligations.” (Although mutual obligation can be a form of love worth celebrating). At Temple Bnai Israel, our Judaism is a “celebrating Judaism” and it comes in many flavors.

We always “celebrate” Shabbat and holidays, but sometimes we do it with fairly traditional services, sometimes with meals, sometimes with schmoozing, and sometimes with parties! Jews and our families and friends are diverse and so are our Shabbat and holiday celebrations.
