Fun Jewish outings for you and your family – J-Kids offer LOTS of them!

J-Kids of Northeast Connecticut began offering this exciting new initiative, sponsored by Temple Bnai Israel, in September of 2012. This program provides fun, innovative, and engaging activities for Jewish pre-school-aged children and their families. The events highlight the diverse places and experiences that Northeast Connecticut has to offer, while supporting Jewish community-building for young children and their familes. We travel to the places you like to go and do the things you like to do with your family. We focus on Jewish holiday and values to provide an enriching context for our playfulness.

Here are some fun, and educational, outings we’ve been going on:

  • Apple Picking for Rosh Hashanah (Horse Listener’s Apple Orchard)
  • Harvest Festival for Sukkot (Cedar Ledge Tree Farm)
  • PJ Library PJ Party (Temple Library)
  • Gentle Giants on Tu B’Shvat (Goodwin State Forest)
  • Mask-Making for Purim (Ballard Institute of Puppetry)
  • Symbols of Seder (Mansfield Public Library)
